Upcoming Concerts and Events

    Definition: NEX•US
    1. A connected group; 2. The core or center

The Nexus Chamber Orchestra was formed by a group of like-minded recording studio musicians looking for a performing outlet beyond the recording studio. Our core players are prominent members of the Nashville String Machine, Nashville's preeminent recording string group for the past 25 years.

The group has played on literally thousands of recordings - from Contemporary Christian to Country to Rock to Heavy Metal - and on the albums of such artists as Carrie Underwood, Garth Brooks, Bruce Springsteen, Casting Crowns, Elton John, Keith Urban, Faith Hill, Kid Rock, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Martina McBride, Neil Young, Rascal Flatts, Tim McGraw, Vince Gill and many, many more.

While we are all very fortunate to have been able to record for so many great artists, we are classically-trained musicians, having studied at top music conservatories around the world, and we have a real love for chamber music - a love that just cannot be realized in the recording studio. Thus, the Nexus Chamber Orchestra was formed - to allow us the opportunity to get back to our 'classical roots' and to show the Middle Tennessee area the diversity of talent that exists in the Nashville recording community.

We are proud to call Williamson County our home-base and the site of our primary concert series. Our founders, and many members of the chamber orchestra, are residents of Williamson County and are excited to become Williamson County's first professional chamber orchestra. Our home venue is the Chapel at Brentwood United Methodist Church. This venue is a beautiful chapel with incredible acoustics that are perfect for a chamber orchestra. We also plan other concerts in Williamson County and beyond.

    Our Mission

Middle Tennessee has a very rich and diverse musical history and is very fortunate to have many talented musicians and composers reside here. The Nexus Chamber Orchestra intends to present and showcase that talent on each and every concert it performs. We will strive to have each concert include at least one work of a local composer and soloists (when presented) will be from the local music community. With so much talent here, why look elsewhere?
